global-aid: In late 2005, a terrible earthquake devastated northern Pakistan, killing more than 75,000 people and seriously injuring far more. These pictures are of families who lost everything and are surviving in refugee camps until they decide whether to return to their devastated villages. Most have lived in tents for months, and will need to rebuild solid homes in order to survive the next winter. Portrait by Annie Griffiths Belt, an aid photographer.
